Anyone who wants to understand how Boo (and all the other
free-floating brands like Gap/Starbucks/Amazon) work should read No Logo by Naomi Klein.
She dissects the business model that leads to 'outsourced' exploited workers in
third world countries having their starvation wages cut to pay for Nike's
marketing spend on multi-millionaire basketball players. It doesn't make easy
reading, but it exposes the truth behind many of the companies we (UKNM readers)
are advising, working with or holding options in.
