Subject: RE: UKNM: Sega v Nintendo v Sony

I've been observing the thread for a while now.

My experience seems to be that Nintendo has an extremely loyal following
from its SNES which flowed through to the N64 and should flow to their
new console. However, as the players get older, the Sony product tends
to be more appealing due to the more "realistic" feel of their games.

I know that Sony will be number 1, due to its financial and marketing
muscle and the great games it'll have - if the Playstation is anything
to go by, and Nintendo will be close behind.

As for SEGA - who knows. The Dreamcast has been some time coming. They
need to launch with a bang some great games before the others get there.

I for one, will keep my N64 and buy a playstation 2 to go alongside it,
if they manage to launch it before or at a similar time to Nintendo.
