CLINTON'S ADDRESS IS ... A PORN SITE

A US company that prints yellow pages has given the wrong web site address

for the US government ... leading browsers to a porn site instead of the

White House official home page.


One Book Yellow Pages has delivered 800,000 copies to customers in 10

counties across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, with the company saying the

directories will not be recalled.


General manager Scott Caddell reportedly apologised for the error. The

addresses for the FBI and Nasa also are wrong.


This year, the company started a new Internet section inside the phone book

as a resource for computer owners. The problem has been well-documented

before, with the address www.whitehouse.com owned by an adult entertainment

company and the US government using www.whitehouse.gov.


Company officials say they became so accustomed to Internet addresses having

the com ending that the White House address looked correct when they

proof-read the phone book.
