Subject: | FLASH: Possible to "setPref" in Flash? |

Greetings to all,
I'm building a Flash movie which acts as a registration and log-in portal
to a group of Shockwave games. These games use the lingo functions getPref
and setPref, storing variables (such as the current score) in .txt files so
they can be passed from game to game.
Is it possible to replicate this function in Flash? I need a script that
will set up a new text file and write a certain string to it. I'd
appreciate it if anyone could give me some guidance--or if anyone could let
me know if this is just flat-out impossible, so I don't waste any more time
chasing mirages...
Thanks!
