yup, you're wrong. _parent means in a frameset, the window above the current
in the structure
in javascript the window you mean is called 'window.opener'
you should also be able to access the window.status property from flash,
though i've never felt the need.

Subject: FLASH: Get URL in Flash 3
Hi All,
I'm using flash 3 and I have 2 questions:
1/ Is there a way to make Get URL display the required URL in a
specified frame of the current window?
2/ It looks like Get URL in _parent window doesn't work (I'm using IE5
on Win95). I believe "_parent window" is the IE window that opened the
IE window where my flash movie plays. Am I wrong?
Thanks for your help,
Didier
