Howdy,

I tried to get Flash 4 to mess up when importing sound files.
Here is what I found:

-- You cannot import an AIFF file with "MAC3" compression
-- You cannot import an AIFF file with "MAC6" compression

On the Mac, you cannot import WAV files, but on the PC, be aware there are
the following compression types:
-- A-LAW
-- IMA
-- PCM
-- uLAW

I don't use a PC, so I cannot test them for you. However, you could run
into compressed file problems just as with the AIFFs.

FWIW, I run Flash with 20 Megs on a Mac most of the time without problems.
As I get up around 20+ Symbols and especially import numerous bitmaps, then
I get memory messages and usually end up going to around 40 Meg or 80 Meg
if I just don't want to mess with changing memory allocation on a big
project. Quitting Flash and re-opening can also help you if you just don't
have the extra memory to begin with.
