Title: RE: FLASH:loading animation before movie runs
The best way I find to do it is just to put all the sounds files and images that you want to preload in the second frame of the main movie. Turn the sounds off in the properties box so u can not hear them and hide the images behind a layer in the movie so no one can see them. You can then check how it pre-loads by doing a Control>test movie and then once in there do a control>show streaming with streaming set to 28.8 modem. This shows you graphically how the information loads.

Well, ok...I tried the animation for loading movie and it doesnt work.
Can someone tell me how to make it work?
this is what I did so far..
In my main movie(the only one) I put an MC in 1st fram for the "loading
movie"
The main movie starts on frame 3
for the loading movie mc I went to properties and put in this in the
actions>>
If Frame Is Loaded ("endscene")
Go to and Play ("startscene")
End Frame Loaded
why doesnt it work?
thanks

Will tell you if you will _Please_ set your email to send plain text instead
of formatted! <grin>
When you test your movie (Control...Test Movie) you have some additional
options under the Control menu (in other words, the menu changes when you
are in Test Movie mode) so that you can show the streaming with various
connection speeds emulated. Change these options to 14.4 or 28.8, for
instance, then click on "Show Streaming" under this same menu. Your movie
will re-play showing the delays expected over the slower lines.
