FLASH: Use Flash to launch ext. application?

Is there any way to use Flash 3/4 to launch an external program? 

What I would like to do is use Flash for my intial presentation and 

then have Flash launch an Authorware.exe file.


The other option is to import the Flash into Authorware, but 

Authorware5 doesnt support Flash 3 or Flash 4 yet (without using 

ActiveX and thats not an option for me).
