One way, possibly not the best way, is to create a Shortcut which does what
you want and execute the shortcut from the projector.
Let's say you right click on a folder and select New/Shortcut.
You then enter the command line: notepad.exe c:\autoexec.bat .
Windows will probably want to name the shortcut something like <Notepad.exe>
.
That's what you'll see in the GUI.
You'll want to look at the DOS, Dir listing.
You'll see it's real name is something like <notepa~1.lnk> .
This is probably the file name for the shortcut you try to execute.
In a browser that's linked to the OS, like IE, you can execute it with a Get
URL, GoTo and Play action. It does trigger the save file or open from this
location dialog in IE.
>From a projector, the above method still triggers the security dialog even
when executing a .bat file in W98.
