Why?

It doesn't matter what the dimensions of the originl target is,
with Load into Target the new SWF movie replaces the old target
at its size not the size of the target.

That is the way it works.

The first method is much more intuitive and much less confusing.
I'd suggest using Load into Target only when you need a dynamic
replacement
and not for a regular static placement of a new movie.
