I've created a rotating earth by importing max rendered frames and auto tracing.
The mask works well but this way is simpler. Respond offlist if you'd like a
copy.

PH the easier way to do this is just loop scroll a "folded ou" view of the
earth. (check out your clip art) and pass it under a circular mask. then
place a shaded sphere underneath...voila, rotating globe.

format would do) of the earth at various angles that could be chained and
looped to make it smoothly "spin" ?
