haven't had the time to update the javascript approach. next time i update it
i'm likely also going to add a vb script detector for ie on windows.

yup, something in that neighbourhood would work. it wouldn't take much to
adapt the 3.0 detection to work the same way with 4.0.
or you could just save yourself the trouble and simply put this on your entry
page:
