that means your transperancy is not that accurate or you should made the colour on the edge of teh transperancy similiar to teh colour that is to be shown. Ie if you have a drop shadow effect u created as a transperancy then make the whole image black and that wya u will get no white edges.

something that I found out while checking this png stuff...
If you put a graphic symbol with some alpha transparency over the top of
a png with alpha transparency, you see these white jaggies around the
edges of the symbol...
