Subject: FLASH: Vecta 3d animations not usefull for the web?

Hi guys

So, a full demo of Vecta3d will be on ideaworks' website in 5 days? Do
you believe that? hmmmm.

Will it be a Windows version only? Or will the mac version also be
available at that time?

Allthough I like the look of the images made with vecta 3d I'm a little
sceptic about serious Vecta3d animations for use on the web. Every frame
of the animation results in a flash graphic. So if you have a 30 secs.
animation with ,say, 12 fps you still have 12 times 30 (= 360) different
flash graphics even if the 3d object is just rotating... This means
-especially with an animation with of a detailed object - HUGE files!

It would have been better if the Vecta3d tool could use the morph-option
of flash (and somehow interpret it -the morph- intelligently).

IMHO Solutions like VRML are, in theory, far better because these files
calculate the object only once and so object can be rotated in real
time. Interactivity with Vecta3d is gonna be very limited.

Does anybody have any comments on this?
