director can do things that i don't think flash can do- like check for qt

installed,  reset monitor color depth, launch external applications  like

acrobat as well as incorporating flash. i think that it would be a better

bet from your brief description of the project....


the  major drawbacks for director are the need for both mac and pc versions

if your project will be cross platform and the licensing thing.
