Laura,

I don't think those stats are accurate. Japanese do not surf the net like we
do here in the US. Broadband is few and very expensive and access rates for
Internet connections are higher than any place in the world. The Japanese
are 2nd place behind the US in Internet usage totaling right around 28
million. But that number is misleading. Half of that is the internet phone
and most do not spend hours upon hours surfing the web due to time limits on
their access fees.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear about flash. But because of several of
the obsticles such as high access rates and lack of Flash websites for the
Japanese, I don't think its as popular yet as the US but gaining popularity
very fast because of the Japanese taste for animation.

Flash is widely accepted in Japan. But other barriers to its acceptance has
nothing to do with Flash at all.
