Subject: FLASH: ./ vs ../ insanity
From: ..::rory phillips::..

hi all
i dont know if this has been covered already, but i have been having some trouble cross platforming my flash movies. the problem arises when i want to go back a directory.

in usual html terms the command would be ../file.html, which is fine on macs (which i am exporting the movies from) but this does not work when i test on pc. after much head scratching we discovered that taking away a dot and typing ./file.html works on pc, but not on mac....this seems to big and obvious to be a bug, but is there any way around this other than absolute urls?

thanks

rory
