Depends on the bandwidth and patience of your
browsers. For modems, for intros and flash pages,
10-100k. For cable/dsl 50-200k, for T1+ ->500k, but of
course this will depend on the tolerance of the
network admins if it is for a intranet site. No single
page (html +flash) you want the general(slodem) user
to access w/o to much fuss should be >50k.
I apply the above when using flash for a nicer, more
exciting, or more efficient way to deliver content
that _could_ be delivered by other standard means. Of
course, for games, cartoons, stories, etc. where the
medium is part of the message, then you can
expect/hope (if your content is good enough) that
browsers will have more patience...
