Hi Danny,
1. In the Windows drop down menu click on Inspectors and then Scene.
Select the scene name you wish to change and select properties. The
Scene Properties palette pops up and you can type in the name you want.
2. Yes. Include in the actionscript that loads your new movie unto a
level another action (Go to) that sends you main movie to a frame that
does not contain active buttons. You should label this non active frame
"park" so no matter how you edit the frames of this main movie the
command will always send the play head to that frame. Have a stop
action in the park frame. When returning to the main movie and unloading
the loaded movie (or parking that one too) be sure to include an action
that sends the play head back to a spot on the main timeline that
contains active buttons again.
3. All the effects you mentioned can enlarge the file size but I must
say 950K seems very large even with a lot of buttons. It is difficult to
say what is enlarging your file without seeing it. Do you have many
bitmaps, streaming sound/music, are you tweening with alpha effects over
a large area of the canvas, a lot of frame by frame animation?
4. When I export for print, I use Flash/export image/bitmap and set the
resolution at 300 ppi. Always select allow smoothing. This has worked
very well for me, especially if I do not need to drastically increase
the size of the image.
Hope this helps.
