No, you should import only Windows PCM .wav format or AIFF (for Mac).
Sample rate must be 44.1kHz or half, quarter, or eighth that rate (for
example, 48kHz or 32 kHz will not work). 22050 Hz is a common import rate
that works well for most sound.Bit depth may be 16, 8, or 4 but best
results are usually obtained by importing at 16 bits. 22050 Hz is a common
