Adding type="application/x-shockwave-flash" is only helpful if the MIME
is not set. If the MIME is set then it is not needed.
When the MIME is not set and the type command is included then many
people will get Flash but some will get symptoms which include browsers
crashing. The only browsers that do not require the MIME being set are
Win versions of IE 3+.

The MIME was previously OK at FlashGen, maybe there was a crash or he
changed he servers? Hopefully now he is aware of the problem it will be
fixed soon :-)
