there is definitely a javascript play command - search the macromedia flash
support site for "javascript" and you'll get a list of commands.
if the variable you are trying to pass is one of a known set (say you have
var1, var2, var3, and it has to be one of those) a quick and dirty way to do it
would be to send the flash movie to a label (say "setVar1") that sets that for
you). Otherwise you'll have to muck around a bit more.
I'm looking at a project I finished a few weeks ago though, and noticing (I
barely remember it as this point), that there is also a setVariable command,
and I was able to use it to set variables in a flash movie. In another frame
even. I don't remember where I found this info, but if you poke around the
macromedia site, you should be able to locate it. I seem to remember
www.flashzone.com being valuable as well.
