Just one tip, don't go professing your flash skills to potential
employees if you have no or very little knowledge of HTML, general
browser workings and site design. Many a time a flash designer has been
incredible with their brush but hopeless at creating the actual site
with eccentric navigation styles, very odd ideas.
Its like an artist claiming they can create a city plan.
Otherwise good luck and enjoy this frantic, "push me till I crack"
world.

Hey Flasher buddies,
I had another question for you all. Well this is more personal if you
feel comfortable sharing with me or the list: Hows the market like?
I'm an art student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison working with
computer mediated art--focusing on web work. I have about 1.5 years
worth of Director experience sith Lingo and the same for web desing, and
I have just begun to learn flash as well as 3D modeling software this
semester.
What would you recommend me or people in my possition to do...focus on
one Thing?? When it comes to Flashers, is the world looking for people
that only know flash really well or a little of everything (software
like Director, Quicktime VR, Perl and CGI knowledge, javascript etc? )
Whats better? What are people looking for when it comes to web work?
what would your company be looking for? and if comfortable how mush $$
is the market for full time flashers.
I'm planning on being in the market in a year and I just what to prepare
and be ready. Any info would be great.
I know this is a touchy subject for most, but I just want to know
because I feel this university doesn't even go into this questions, aLl
I can do right now is work ver cheaply or free for UW groups and
organizations.
thanks again
