3DStudio Max also doesn't export any vectors. There is
a _plug-in_ (davidgould.com) for Max, but
transparency, shadow, textures are not supported.
For more than basic outlines/colors you can get from
illustrate, you are better off either drawing your
'3d' or finding a good 'toon' shader (ElectricImage,
Cinema4D, Lightwave, and Hash 3d all do toon style
shading on the Mac, Cinema(w/40$ plug-in) and Hash do
transparency, reflection, etc. in toon) and wishing
someone would write a nice batch trace bitmap for
Flash!
