I think you may find an easy solution, although perhaps convoluted, would be to:
Make an MC with your button and key frame it for however many instances you need
it to create.
Have it's instance be something like:
On Release
Go To Next Frame
End
On Release
<bullet pointX>
End
X would be whatever specific instance operation that you need to perform.
Make sense?
