I'm just saying that they're creating a presence that is unlike anything
else they promote. Doubtful that in the store they've got signs that look
like what's on the site. I know it seems easy that someone like Apple uses
the same typeface on EVERYTHING. But you recognize it. You know it. In
today's info-hyped world, a logo has to be recognized immediately and
branding is IMPORTANT. Of all the dotcoms that advertised during the
superbowl, how many do you remember? Name 5 job sites. Undoubtedly the first
that comes to mind is monster.com. Branding.
I think what bothered me about the site was it was a mish-mash of neat
effects, like scrolling though Flashkit, without giving any kind of
"presence." What sets them apart from any other company who hires a
tech-head to do their site? Nothing. Sorry to be a downer, I think I need a
nap.
