Subject: | FLASH: Any logical explanation for Literal vs. Expression in "Set Variable"? |

I have a good understanding of the difference between Literal and
Expression.
However, there's one issue that really bugs me:
Why must you "set variable" with:
"myVariable" = 12
(where the variable is left as a literal and the value is an expression)
The way I see it:
myVariable=12
should work! (both expressions)
I can live with the way it works... I'm just curious if anyone has a decent
explanation that people generally understand.
