Unless you want gradient shading of imported models and key-frameable
multi-object animation, in which case try Swift3D.

A further warning on vecta, while the stand alone supports gradient shading
on internally created models and a form of toon shading (at least in the
demos) on imported models, the 3dstudio plug _only_ does flat shaded (no
shadows, nor 3d shading on the models) renders, so while a great way to
bring character studio animations into swf, its old or cheap cartoon level
of 'realism'.
