FLASH: writing

Does anyone know how to or can anyone point me to information on how to

animate handwriting, such as to show each letter as it is being written on a

blackboard? I am not talking about each individual letter appearing as in

typewriter text appearing one letter at a time, but the actual letter being

formed from start to finish.
