jpegs are fine if you compress them first, and keep 'use imported image
data' turned on in the bitmap properties. If you need sharpness, turn off
image smoothing. I have noticed that highly compressed jpegs look worse in
flash than in a browser, however I have also found that very high quality
jpegs compress fine using Flash's compression.
