Subject: FLASH: trails bug
I have a Director 7 movie in which I have trails turned on for a sprite,
which is wiped away by a scanning (left-right, top-bottom) circle to reveal
another sprite underneath. Sometimes this works without a hitch, while
sometimes, the erasing action seems to "get ahead of itself", in the sense
that parts of the underlying image (usually the flower in the hair) are
revealed before they are supposed to be -- before the scanner bitmap passes
over them.
Here is a URL which demonstrates this bug. Click the mouse button (anywhere)
to trigger the "scanning" transition. Incidentally, I have seen the same
thing when I imported the movie into Director 8. The behavior is the same
inside Director as in a browser.

I would appreciate any tips on how to work around this. Thanks -- Dan
