A good place to start is www.vrml.org

check the technical information on the site.. it runs through the
specifications of VRML 1.0 and I guess VRML 2.0 somewhere as well. for what
we would need for use in flash I guess is a way to parse only the things we
would intially need to build a 3d model. ie shape type and co-ordinates...
(I see the use of PHP3 here!) possibly to rearrange into a variable list
text document.
...however this is my idea for an openFLA website to figure out and discuss
such matters.

By the way, I don't want to limit the site to just 3d, though I am sure
there will be an area for it. I am open to other idea's as well. I want
"openFLA" to be an open source experimental forum. A little beyond newbie
FAQ's seen on this list. Though also a resource for newbies as well I
guess...
