Subject: | FLASH: HTML import to flash? |

Michael,
we have developed a 'fly through' interface which allows zooming through
the 'z' axis, sort of like flying through a sea of 'out door movie screens'
each window now can hold an entire .swf complete with (most) interactions
(still some little bugs).
each window is repositionable and zoomable in place.
the goal is to spare the end user the pain off 'clicking and waiting'
since we have the loading system pretty much sorted out.
this interface is very unique, sorta like standing in the 'stacks' at a
library, rather than having a search engine rip a page out of a book and
bringing it back to the viewer 'out of context'.
though it is really cool with 30 or more flash sites in one enviroment,
with the ability to 'contain' regular HTML we think we could change the way
information is delivered on the web!
it seems that 'containing' regular HTML in one of these windows-inside
flash- should be possible, but we are just tackling the problem and don't
really know if it has been or can be done.
the entire 'container' system is only 5k, from there on in it is all
content.
an example will be up as soon as the patent attorney clears it.
any ideas?
will director allow this kind of controll over 'existing' HTML?
can a director 'sprite' be 'contained' in flash?
thanks,
dave matthews
