Hi Jason,
Try getting the original uncompressed versions of the gif/jpeg files
and then import them in .bmp format. Then use Quality on Export and use
the lowest setting that gives an acceptable picture.
Flash doesn't use the compression method of a jpeg when imported so it
is almost always a negative to import a jpeg into Flash since that
compression has only added distortion and not file reduction.
