David,
Waste no punches dude!
How you managed to go from flash v thing to mac v pc is bizarre.
I agree to a small extend about what you say regards supporting unknown
formats, but you'd do well to remember that a certain plug-in called
'Futureshock' started out as a little-known plug-in/web app.
I recall being utterly unimpressed by it, and have only recently been drawn
into the feature sets of Flash 2/3 - and it's support within Dreamweaver.
So, you could say that I waited till the wave came in before I jumped on my
board.
In retrospect, I wish I'd done it sooner - not just so I'd have been on the
bandwagon earlier, but because software (especially in it's infancy) needs
support and feedback from a userbase, in order to grow the way they want it,
plus I'm having to catch up with the rest of the Flash'ing community.
Don't knock new software, even if it looks crap or non-standard. 'Cause
sometimes, you just end up having your views of an 'underdog' society shoved
up your <!>
P.S. Sounds to me like you opted for the PC because it sounded like a
'steal' too.....(hell, I did - I use Macs for the serious stuff)
