Verified Bug. (Was "CHALLENGE...")

I did more tests and can verify this bug as follows:


-In the "Test Movie" environment of Flash 3, the action "Goto and Play"

behaves as "Goto and Stop" when sent from a movie clip to the main

movie score.

-The bug is not present in browser based versions of the Flash 3 player.

-the "Goto and Play" action functions normally when sent from clip to

clip (not to the main score) and when sent from the main score to

itself.



I suppose someone else should try implementing this but we have two

verifications so far.


It seems that the Flash player in the "Test Movie" environment is not

exactly what you might see in the browser. To be sure, you may want to

only use the browser when testing for real behaviour, and the "Test

Movie" feature when you need use specific features like the mock modems

etc.


DG, try testing your stuff in the browser. Your problem may go away.

Also, my earlier post really only applies to the Test Movie environment

now. Please disregard it for the real browser-based plugins/controls.


John c, I'd love to see a "Known Bugs" section on Flash Central. Would

save people a lot of heart ache.
