Subject: whast all this: copying stuff

Everyone on the list keeps saying that they can look at a swf and see how
its made. OK, I downloaded and ran the swifter.exe which all it could do was
unprotect the file so that I could see ONE time line and NOT the individual
or shall I say original *.fla format, vis a vis the tweening, the different
layers, preview mode etc. Again all I saw was one time line which was
relative to bandwidth.

Now I agree that copying is bad and actually stupid, but being able to see
how its done by examining the tweening, the layers could help me design some
other ideas (I plan on doing a study of Baroque art using the hidden
meanings in some of Vermeers and Caravaggio's pertaining...so its safe to
say that I will not be copying anyone...will be part of a CD on Semiotics of
Art....relative to Umberto Eco)
thus my questions..........................
Is there another program that allows one to view the layers, the tweening
and perhaps go into preview mode.
am I missing something?
Does this only work on a Mac?
Is there something that I am nit doing?

Thanks from an old middle aged newbee who just wants to learn.
