MM porn/copying - relax pls!

Please Relax...


This thread is really getting annoying.


I'm not sure what some people are complaining about - porn or copying.


Ripoff is a strong word.  And I haven't seen (the supposedly ripped-off)

official MM people chiming in on this thread, so they must not care too

badly.  Uh, wait a minute, isn't that what they produced for the original

fla for to begin with?


Look - people are going to look at your work, and if they like it, they're

going to imitate you.


They may copy your files directly, or they may reproduce it on their own.

But what difference does it make?  This is the *internet*!  It has happend

since day one.  And how many people writing about this haven't admired

certain sites and tried to imitate what they saw.  Anyone?


Leading edge people only stay on the top level by continuing to innovate.

If you ever get lucky enough to develop something that people actually want

to steal, then you know you *have arrived*.  Take it as a compliment, not a

threat.


But if you want to take it the other way, there is absolutely *nothing*

that you can do about it.  Except take some pride in the fact that you came

up with it first. Look at Hollywood.  Directors and Producers all do the

same thing.  That's the normal course of the media business.


On the porn issue, it's best to back-off on this one.  You're getting into

American Civil Liberties issues there.  The country decided long ago that

naked pictures of guys and gals are legal.  So ignore it if you don't like

it, and don't go there.  There is no profit in persuing that issue.
