Vanishing items...

(as usual, sorry if this has already been asked and solved)


I'm using a Mac and Flash 2, and when i create a rule (line) with the

pencil tool (using the random-looking dots as the pattern) and then group

it with text as a symbol to be moved around the screen, the resulting

Shockwave movie _usually_ fails to display the rules while the text looks

just fine.


I said "usually" because sometimes the rules do show up and sometimes one

will display while the others on the same page (which are virtually the

same) do not. When i export as a QuickTime movie the rules _always_ show

up... but then again the file size balloons; not exactly a solution.


Any ideas on how to get past this?
