Yes and No, DeviceFont changes all the Fonts available on the users
system to system fonts, whether small or large. Flash does much better
with larger fonts on most systems so devicefont is of value only if you
are using only very small fonts. Also when using Devicefont you no
longer have what you see is what you get, but rather what you set is
what you get.

However, it would be nice to get better anti-aliased text (that takes
size into consideration). IE's and Netscape's embeded (downloadable)
fonts are both better than Flash.
