My two cents.. Under construction is fine and well nothing wrong with it in
"some" cases. I usually redirect the user to another page I have done after
I have posted a " corporate logo " with please check back after maintence
page or something along those lines.

All the same for me, just make sure that the user audience is the " Under
construction type" =)

But all in all anything is better than a blank page.
