are you using Mac or PC?

if your using PC, just hit the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard,
goto Photoshop and create a new file (leave the dimensions alone)
then paste (control V)
and the screen capture will be there.

make any size changes, transparancy changes(like making a round border), and
color changes to the screen capture while you are still in photoshop.

Then if you have Photoshop 5.5, you can Save For Web, and choose PNG-24
format for transparency settings and no image quality loss.

Then goto Flash and import the PNG image. Make sure that you do not resize
the image while your in Flash, or else you will get pixelated, ugly images.

Goto the PUBLISH settings in Flash and make sure the HTML Quality setting is
set to BEST, and pump up the JPG quality (listed under the Flash tab) to
around 90% (depending on how much quality you want vs download time), and
then try publishing the movie.

If you are animating the image by making it move around the page, you might
still get a pixelated image. It is best to have your images have no
animation other than fade-in and fade-out.

If you make a bitmap image into a symbol, you will sometimes see distortion
when you publish the movie. The only way around this bug, is to take the
bitmap out of the symbol.

If you have the movie set to publish at 100% screen size, then you will see
a slightly blurred image depending on your screen resolution setting.

Sorry if you dont get this e-mail quickly.. every time I reply here it takes
a couple of days before it gets posted.

Subject: FLASH: Importing screen prints

I was wondering if anyone has had luck importing screen prints into Flash?
We have tried every conceivable format and techniques that I can think of
and still get messy looking results. If you get good results, please share
your technique. (We use HyperSnap for the captures.)

Thanks!
