Thanks, Jeff. I remembered the system font quirks, but appreciate
the reference.

FWIW, my only recourse for the time being, is to use Fontographer
to generate the TT fonts I might need on a regular basis. Of course, I
can always just go back to Freehand, but that seems a bit clunkier in
the long run.
