Hey Dave,
In the example below, you could put two invisible slider instances named
"min" and "max" at the ends of your slider range and drag the button based
on these positions. You could then get the distance as follows: (using 30
frames to travel as an example)
Set Variable: "noOfFrames" = "30"
Set Variable: "sliderMin" = min:_x
Set Variable: "sliderMax" = max:_x
Set Variable: "ratio" = (sliderMax - sliderMin) / noOfFrames
If the slider distance was 300, then your ratio would be 10, meaning that
every 10 pixels that your slider button is distanced from the "min" mc,
move to a consecutive frame. It would also be a good idea to put in, a
check to see if the slider is within say, 5 px or so from either side that
it would force the playhead to the cooresponding frame (beginning or end).
