Subject: FLASH: OT: All about the UI...

JD, or whatever kind tech happens to be reading this,

I'm a smidge concerned about this unified interface that I read in your
White Paper yesterday. Adobe went through this concept quite some time ago,
and really ticked me off by restructuring Illustrator so that it would
conform to Photoshop's interface and "method of working". Their toolbar
changed dramatically and several functions got moved around, one of which
used to be keystroked. It really dropped my efficiency and confidence in the
product considering none of their changes had appeared to be "user
requests".

All I really want to know is how radical is this change going to be. I'm not
so worried about Flash, as from the screenshots and descriptions, it's a
total efficiency makeover. However, is this makeover going to radically
affect FW and DW in that their interfaces will be radically redesigned?

A friend of mine, also a loyal MM follower expressed his concern as this: "I
want the UI to reflect the tools, not the corporate image." Alleviate our
concerns and tell us this is not a reflection of the MM plan. I'm comforted
that this is a user request, but I'd rather hear it from you.
