I usually hang on to the FLA files...or at least copies. So even if I don't
have ownership, I can at least have some form of backup so that I can prove
that I have designed a paticular application. Hehe...usually used to prove
the easter eggs that I place in the files. But getting back to the
subject...it depends on what is agreed on the contract....in my experience,
ALWAYS write up some form of written contract so that you don't get you're
a$$ screwed and loose money or anything to that effect. So it
depends...what will you and the client agree on? Is the job worth having
the FLA file to begin with?
Well...that's my 2 cents..

OK, hang on.
I recall the last time this ownership topic came up, and it seemed pretty
clear to me at the time that the great majority of you agreed that the
actual .FLA file belonged to the creator, not the client.
Has the climate changed on this so soon?
It seems like, in the last spate of mails on this subject, that opinion is
shifting a great deal.
So, what is the correct, industry-standard practice: do I keep the .FLA, or
does the client have dibs?
I WILL need to know the accepted answer to this very soon.
