Subject: | FLASH: Postscript font strangeness in Flash |

Hello! I am experiencing some really odd font behavior
in Flash 4.
I ordinarily use Freehand or Illustrator for creating artwork, but I
needed to use a couple of text labels in a Flash project I'm working
on, so I thought that generating them in Flash would be simpler than
having to import them from another app.
No problem with various TrueType fonts. Click on the text tool, type
in the text, convert to symbol, done.
Postscript fonts seem to have the ability to lock up Flash when I try
to convert a line of text to a symbol! This is a repeatable, consistent
phenomenon.
System: NT4+SP5, 320Mb RAM, dual P II, etc.
I can easily go back to Freehand, but I'm curious as to why Flash
apparently cannot live with Postscript fonts. (The Flash manual
states that either PS or Truetype fonts are OK.)
Ideas?
TIA --- Phil Matt
