As I so recently discovered [OT: thanks everyone for the help on the fla's
going to video. It worked fine (though they wanted avi's - does Flash for
the PC export as an avi?) and we're doing it again, and I do like my work
showing up on tv :)] you can't output a movie clip that's inside another
movie this way. If all you want is the clip, copy the frames into a new
movie and output that (the tweens and all will be fine if they're on the
main timeline. However, you can't do any tell targeting or actionscript -
remember an animated gif is frame-by-frame animation). If there's no
actionscript or tell targets to stop and stop the clip etc., you can change
the instance from a movie clip to a graphic (tell it to loop if that's what
you need) and again, it'll work fine. However, if you need it to play only
at specific times within the movie itself, I'm afraid you'll hafta bring the
frames in and have paste them you need them (twice, if you need them twice).
The advantages of Flash - MC's, tell target, actionscript :) I hafta relearn
to do this stuff the old way ;)
