If you want something a bit different than a book, but IMHO an excellent
resource - check out http://www.director8.com/
The site contents are available in PDF content (currently about 500 pp) as
well as numerous example movies.
Also, there is special attention paid to discussing how to marry the use of
Flash with Director.
