well the good thing about loading textfiles is the fact that your content
can be dynamically driven, without having to update your fla's. i have done
it both ways, and i prefer the dynamic interaction much better than hard
coding anything.why not just take it one step further and write the text
data to a database and have an intermediary server side application like asp
or cold fusion get the data and return it to flash.

hello all. first off i have to thank the list for being such an amazing
resource and not publicly bashing us newbies. i've learned alot in these
last two weeks and i hope to get to understand some of the more complex
capabilities of FLASH.

anyways the reason i'm writing is that i am working on a site which is
loading text files. is it faster to just create new scenes with text layers
or not. i seem to be sluggish loading text files from my hardrive. im on a
T3 connection and still think it takes to long.

i see the advantage in being able to quickly update text files, but still
need to be convinced otherwise.
